13th April 2003 Windsurfing: Ynyslas Est Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: After a bad start to the day (flat tyre and flat battery) finally got to the coast to see the sea for the first time this year. Have to admire LS, Dave and Sarahís patience with my lack of understanding of the correct terminology for the different parts of the sail and board ñ but their persistence is paying off as I managed to use some of right words at the right time! Interesting lesson in rigging whilst waiting for the tide to turn. Once on the water started off quite well, however had some difficulty in coming back and the new dry suit got a good testing in the water. After drifting down towards Shrewsbury (not quite) Dave came to the rescue and provided some useful times which helped to get back towards the cars. Spent the rest of the time watching the others on how it should be done. Good day out look forward to getting out their again. |
